My name is Jennifer Lam, and I have been a Registered Cardiac Sonographer for the past 13 years. For the last nine years, I have served in a leadership capacity as a Charge Technician/Team Lead in both acute and ambulatory care settings. In this role, I collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver cardiology testing services to patients. Over time, I have come to appreciate that healthcare goes beyond direct patient care. The work of hospital administration, often behind the scenes, plays a critical role in shaping policies and ensuring the safety of both patients and staff.

In recent years, I have developed a strong interest in Professional Practice and Quality Improvement. I have been fortunate to gain exposure to these departments within my institution, allowing me to collaborate with individuals who possess extensive expertise in these areas. Together, we work to enhance existing policies, continuously prioritize patient safety, and ensure that the services provided by hospital staff are both effective and appropriate.
